Katharina Niemann (38) is joining the team of the Hamburg communications agency STURMFEST with immediate effect. The communications consultant, who lived and worked as a PR consultant in Shanghai for around nine years, wants to support companies regarding communications in the Chinese market.
Katharina Niemann worked as a PR editor and freelance PR consultant for German trading companies, the German School Shanghai and the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Previously she was a permanent freelance journalist for the newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt.
“During my time in Shanghai, I was able to immerse myself intensively into everyday Chinese life, I got to know the country and its people and acquired a broad knowledge of what is important in communication in China and regarding the different target groups. I am very pleased that I can now contribute this knowledge to STURMFEST,” says Niemann.
In addition to expanding the consulting portfolio for existing customers, STURMFEST is planning workshops and in-house seminars for companies interested in the Chinese market, wanting to communicate in the Chinese market, or wishing to train their employees accordingly.

“In recent years, we have focused intensively on the fast-growing e-commerce market in China. This knowledge is now being incorporated into our new consulting service,” says Robert Trenkel, managing director of the agency.
